King's City
|
If you thought Eilat was just sun, sea and sand, well, it is also now home to a multi-million dollar theme park with last year's opening of King's City located at the edge of the city's promenade.
In times of old, Israel had its fair share of Kings and King's City gives visitors an opportunity to experience what their lifestyle may have been like - albeit with the use of technology and eating in fast food outlets.
This theme park offers everything US and European theme parks offer with the Middle Eastern theme running through it and expects around 500,000 visitors a year.
You can cruise through King Solomon’s Halls where in a space of 10 minutes discover what King Solomon's life was like and oit ends with a waterslide into the lake. Other highlights include discovering ancient Egypt and finding out more about the pharaohs.
Opening hours are 9am to 1am, but it closes early for Shabbat.
Tickets cost $35 for adults and $25 for children
