Israel international midfielder Idan Tal is the latest Israeli footballer to join an English Premier league team.
The 31-year-old, who was born in Petach Tikva, is leaving Maccabi Haifa to join Bolton Wanderers in a two year deal and marks his second return to English football.
For nearly two years from October 2000 to August 2002 he played for Everton.
Tal joins fellow Israeli Ben Haim, captain of the national team, who is now a regular player in the Bolton first team.
"Idan will add extra attacking flair to a midfield that already contains quality," said Bolton manager Sam Allardyce. "Idan reminds me of West Ham's Yossi Benayoun, and if he makes a similar impact on the Premier League as Benayoun and our own Ben Haim then we will have some player at our disposal."
