A group of self-managed Israeli musicians have created a website to showcase their work as well as of other local peers.
Currently the site, World Music Israel offers five artists with selections of their music.
They include: singer Gila Beshari whose work has its origins in the Yemenite community, Talya G.A, who blends from her roots in Bulgaria and Yemen and world music fusion band Makondo.
The site offers a great introduction to some of the very diverse sounds that you can hear in Israel and allows the musicians to connect with music fans around the world.
Hopefully this site will take off and other musicians will join the initial group of five using it to promote themselves and show the world the diverse range of talent that Israel has to offer.
