Oded Fehr
Oded Fehr

With his dark looks and suave style, Tel Aviv-born Oded Fehr is fast becoming one of Hollywood's leading men.

Recently seen on the British big screen in Dreamer, the 35-year-old has progressed greatly since he graduated from the Old Vic Theatre School in Bristol.

From graduating he appeared in a few small roles for two British TV productions, The Knock and Killer Net.

But it is in the 1999 blockbuster The Mummy and its sequel The Mummy Returns that Fehr came to the eye of a wider audience starring as the mysterious Ardeth Bay.  Aside from The Mummy films, he has also had roles in Resident Evil and Deuce Bigalow as well as appearing on TV in Charmed.

Currently on the US small screen he's starring in Sleeper Cell, as a leader of a Muslim terrorist cell who poses as a Jewish man to the local Los Angeles Jewish community.  The TV series explores how the terrorist cell is infiltrated by a Muslim FBI agent.

At first, Fehr was not keen to take on the role, but changed his mind once he had been given the chance to read the script. "The writing was fantastic. There was also the challenge I have never played a role that was so far from me," he says.
