Record numbers of tourists are flocking for Israel's city of fun - Tel Aviv. In 2005 over two million hotel booking were made to stay there and over 190,000 Brits made Tel Aviv their choice of holiday during the year.
Better tourist facilities and redevelopment of the city including its beachfront promenade have raised the standards tourists expect from a modern city.
To cope with demand a further 2000 hotel rooms will be built within the next three years which also will coincide with increased competition in the air so tourists have a greater choice of airline to get there.
As well as paid-for leisure and entertainment, Tel Aviv is also offering a number of free things for tourists to do. Currently this includes guided tour of its Bauhaus architecture and Modern architecture in Tel Aviv University.
