The Castro chain is expanding its brand name and opening concept stores for shoes and accessories under the label CASTRO Shoes & Bags.
The first store opened on the shopping street in Jerusalem, over an area of 93 square meters, with an overall cost of $200,000.
By the end of the year, the company will open two additional new concept stores, one in Kfar Saba and one in Ashkelon, and by 2007 another six to 10 stores are to open. The stores will include both collections of shoes, bags, belts, and other fashion accessories, both for men and women.
Castro currently runs three shoe and bag galleries, two in Tel Aviv and one in Eilat. The collections are sold for prices average to the market: Shoes for NIS 200-500 (about $45-114), bags for NIS 100-400 (about $23-91), boots for NIS 480-850 ($110-194), belts for NIS 90-160 ($20-37) and scarves for NIS 60-140 ($14-32).
