Bamba Snacks
|
It's made out of corn, it's puffy and it tastes of peanuts. Well, it can only be Bamba Snacks, one of Israel's most popular snacks. Millions of people munch through the bags every year in Israel as well as being exported to countries all across the globe.
The Osem-made Bamba started off in 1963 as a cheese flavoured snack but in 1964 it switched to being peanut and for the past 42 years, has remained popular.
In the early 90s, a "Bamba Baby" character was created to market the product.
The snack really does melt in your mouth. Open your mouth, pop in a bamba snack, close your mouth and then begin to savour the peanut taste.
Recent years has also seen variants of Bamba Snacks including a strawberry and chocolate flavour, but it's peanut that makes the snack popular with snackers across the world.
